Great to look at your site. I,ve lived in Gravesend for 45 years and have seen its decline over that time! Just to say that it's not Pelham Road but Darnley Road that's to the left on the St. James Church page! I know because i've been the postman there for the past 6 Years! Keep up the great work.

I don't know if anyone could help but I am looking for any photos of Terrace Street, Gravesend taken around 1935 onwards. My grandmother lived in Terrace street and I would love to see what it looked like.

I was born in Wye Road in 1948 (just above Valley Drive), went to Primary School near Jubilee Cres & Gravesend Tech school for boys--great memories

My grand father was Walter John Rodney Martin and owned the Clock tower butchers he lived in Wrotham Road and had 3 girls and 2 boys he was with the amateur players and I am looking to see if I can find any information for my mum Ann Shirley Holden was Martin. His father was also the Mayor in 1880. If any one can help please let me know thanks

I was born in Gravesend Dec 67. in Windmill st.. yes I was a homebirth! that didn't happen much back then..lots of fond memories of Gravesend... went to Wrotham Rd School & went onto Northfleet School for Girls til '80 then immigrated to Australia with my parents & brother Simon.
