I spent time at St. Mary's around 1946-1948. My little brother Keith was also there. Left England in 1949 for Canada and have remained here since. I did play soccer for a St. Mary's junior team that I have heard no one mention. I did have a look at the senior team before I left.

While serving for 6 years in The Royal Dutch Navy, sailing on a Destroyer, we visited Gravesend in 1964 or '65.
We were supplied by a boat with fresh drinking water. On that boat was also a pretty girl with long dark hair. I talked to her and made a date with her for that evening. It was terrible rainy weather though, so she didn't turn up. She did write to me and her name was: Priscilla Garland, 25 Winchester Crescent in Gravesend, Kent.
Is there anyone who can tell me if she's still alive and give me some more details about her?
It would be great!
Terry Russell

Great to look at your site. I,ve lived in Gravesend for 45 years and have seen its decline over that time! Just to say that it's not Pelham Road but Darnley Road that's to the left on the St. James Church page! I know because i've been the postman there for the past 6 Years! Keep up the great work.

I don't know if anyone could help but I am looking for any photos of Terrace Street, Gravesend taken around 1935 onwards. My grandmother lived in Terrace street and I would love to see what it looked like.
Many thanks
