My parents came from Northfleet but I have fond memories of Gravesend, especially the Pier and the Prom. I am researching the SPUNNER family of Norhfleet/Gravesend and WEST family of Perry St, also SUTHERDEN and STEWART. Does anyone have photos of Wycliffe Road or Dover Road. Thanks

I was born in Darnley Road in 1941. Have good memories of Gravesend and I still have family living there.
A good site and nice pictures, very well laid out and easy to read. Thanks
Dave

My grandfather was the proprietor of the Clarendon Royal Hotel around the late 1920s. If anyone has information from that time, I'd love to hear from you. I have a couple of photos of the hotel and my grandfather taken during his tenure.

Keep up the good work and thanks for the efforts so far.
Not been back to my home town since 1976, but you never leave it really in many ways, only idealise it.
